Telephone: Cyprus automatic telephone dialing system reaches 206 countries. Telecards can be purchased from Post Offices, kiosks and souvenir shops. |
b) Entry To The Island
There are two international airports in Cyprus, at Larnaca and Paphos. Most international flights arrive in Larnaca. |
|
Cyprus Airways is the island’s national carrier and the Conference’s official carrier. |
|
Participants are advised to arrange to arrive in Paphos. If this is not possible, they will have to get a taxi from Larnaca airport (150 meters straight ahead from the arrivals exit of the airport building) to Paphos and the Coral Beach. |
The cost is about CP£40-45. If you share it with some other participants it will be a cheap, quick and convenient transfer. The distance from Larnaca to Paphos is 150 km (2 hours).
Visas: No visas are required for entry into Cyprus by nationals of most countries. |
|
Vaccinations: Not required. |
c) Climate
The climate is equable, with an abundance of sunny days throughout the year. |
|
The average daytime temperature for November is 22 degrees Cº. |
|
Jackets and light sweaters are recommended for November. Warm clothes may be required for the evening. |
d) Shopping Hours
November to March 08 – 18.00 (Friday 08.00 – 19.00) |

Shops are closed all day Sunday and on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons. In some tourist areas they are also open on Sundays. |
