The recipients of the early intervention services provided by Portage, are children aged from birth to six, with varied etiology and severity of their developmental delays. Priority is given to those who do not receive any other services.

One of the main and important features of Portage is the involvement of the family in the assistance process. Through this involvement the family receives support and guidance and feels empowered in making the right decisions for treating the child's disability.
